EVCA Member Search

Standard Search Wildcard search
The member search can handle wildcard characters in the company field.
Wildcard characters can be used to search for variations on words. The two wildcard characters you can use in this search are:
* The asterisk (*)
* The question mark (?)
Using the asterisk ( * )
The asterisk ( * ) wildcard finds words with variations on several letters anywhere in a word.
Example: if you search for comp* all records with containing the words company, companion, computer, etc are returned. Using the question mark ( ? )
The question mark ( ? ) wildcard finds words with variations on a single letter anywhere in a word.
Example: if you search for f?rm, the search statement matches form, farm, firm, etc.
Note
By default every search on company name is executed with an asterisk wildcard at the beginning and the end of the keyword. Example: if you enter the keyword work in the field, the search is executed as if you had entered *work*.
