General Information
|
What is EVCA's Investors' Forum?
The Investors Forum is the global meeting place for LPs and GPs in the private equity and venture capital industry.
The event observes a strict ratio of 1:1 institutional investors and general partners.
The event is renouned for an LP-only working session where institutional investors may discuss their views freely.
General partner attendees are drawn primarily from EVCA's full member base, while LP attendees include long standing industry
partners as well as new institutional investors who have been engaged with during EVCA's global Investor Relations outreach programme
that takes place throughout the year.
Order of events
The conference will commence on Wednesday 10 March 2010 at 10.30 with an LP-GP session ending at 12.30. It will be followed by a conference
session open only to LPs from 14.30 until 17.15.
The first day will close with the Rotating Networking dinner, kindly sponsored by Coller Capital Ltd, in the InterContinental Hotel at 19.30.
On Thursday 11 March 2010, the LP-GP conference session will start at 09.00 and is scheduled to conclude with a lunch at 12.45 the same day.
Event themes
The private equity industry has enjoyed double digit increases in capital commitments each year for several decades and investor interest
remains robust. But events over the past year have put major pressures on the industry and on fundraising. These include technical pressures
brought about by the illiquidity of the financial crisis, and fundamental pressures from the prevailing economic downturn.
This year's Forum will therefore look at how best to manage the LP/GP relationship - from both sides - during these tumultuous times. It will
also cover the prospects for European private equity and venture capital; valuations guidance; investment strategies; return expectations;
risk assessments and a review of performance statistics.
What do delegates get from it?
LP delegates can enjoy candid discussion with their peer group about private equity and venture capital investment, as well as high impact networking with
Europe's leading 200 general partners.
GP delegates gain access to existing LPs as well as exciting new institutional investors who EVCA has specifically invited as a follow up to
its ongoing global Investor Relations outreach programme that takes place throughout the year.
