Gillian joined British Airways Pension Investment Management Ltd in March 2008.
She began her private equity career in 1987 when she developed
and managed the private equity portfolio at the Greater Manchester
Pension Fund. In the following years she spent time with William
Mercer as a senior consulting where her role included advising
pension funds on private equity strategy. At Merrill Lynch Investment
Managers Gillian led the European investments made by its first
fund of funds before moving to Hermes Private Equity to lead the
fund investing team. In 2005 she left Hermes to set up Tandem
Private Equity which subsequently became Mithras Capital Partners.
