Date: Thursday 3 December 2009 Venue: Hilton Arc de Triomphe, Paris
What is the EVCA Buyout Forum
The Forum has been created in response to
direct demand from EVCA's buyout members,
for a
serious event that furthers information
flows and best practice in the industry.
Developed by a
panel of senior buyout professionals,
this event is for the
industry and led by
the industry. The Forum
will encourage interaction between speakers,
panels and delegates,
via professional
moderation, to
ensure thought-provoking debate.
Order of events
The Forum will begin with a welcome dinner
on Wednesday, 2nd December, which will
include a
keynote speech
from a major figure in the world
of European politics. The main
day of the
Forum
will be weighted towards major technical
issues facing the industry, but
punctuated with insight
and
commentary from leading figures in the
world of big business,
politics and economics.
Event themes
The Forum will seek to address three
big picture challenges for the buyout professional:
 |
Creativity: where is the buyout investment model headed? |
 |
Dedication: what are the skills required to support portfolio companies |
|
through this cycle? |
 |
Partnership: the deal cycle touches the lives of countless stakeholders. |
|
What are the responses to this evolving responsibility? |
What you will get from the EVCA Buyout Forum
Thoughtful follow-up on the discussion points raised as the year unfolds, through interviews
with
speakers
and reflections on how the Forum's conclusions
play out in 2010.
